Some people find their calling early. Cooper B. Johnson found his in a Lego set.
As a kid, Cooper wasn’t just building towers — he was designing homes, down to the kitchen cabinets and appliances. That obsession never left him. It led him to the University of Vermont, where he designed his own degree in Historic Preservation, then on to post-graduate coursework in Interior Design and Architectural Drafting at Berkeley. Architecture and design weren’t hobbies. They were a calling.
But life has a way of taking detours. Cooper spent 27 years building a successful corporate career in Consumer Products and Beauty — developing the sales acumen, marketing instincts, and client relationship skills that would later make him an exceptional real estate and design professional. Even then, he couldn’t stay away from buildings. He bought a salon primarily so he could design the space. Then expanded next door so he could design a bigger one.
When Cooper finally made the leap into real estate and renovation management full-time, everything clicked. Today, as a licensed Realtor with Coldwell Banker and founder of brice Design & Renovation Management, he serves affluent clients across the Coachella Valley — Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, and La Quinta — helping them identify the right luxury property, design their dream space, and manage the renovation from start to finish.
