What do Clients Say?

I met Shannon through mutual friends and before we even had a contract she was spending time answering all my questions... we had some delays on closing because of another agent and Shannon did everything she could to step in and speed up the process it was not her responsibility... she definitely took care of me her client made it easy for me to sell my first house... if anyone is in need of a realtor she will be my only recommendation…

Shannon was our realtor to help us through our first home building experience. Some people don’t think you need a realtor if you’re making all the decisions but I’m SO glad we had one and I’m even more glad it was Shannon. Shannon is extremely experienced in the home buying and building processes and was there every step of the way to make important and critical decisions in all phases of the process. Even better, she knows the Wilmington market like the back of her hand. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy a house.

Shannon is, quite simply, the best!!! Our beach condo sold quickly and for far more than we expected when we first began the process. She’s professional, courteous, ethical and goes above and beyond to ensure that her clients are taken care of.

Shannon's exceptional determination helped my fiancé and I find the home of our dreams, from the quality structurally, financing, down to the exact neighborhood we had hoped for! Eagerly guiding us step by step we were impressed in her dedication to educate every aspect throughout our first home buying experience. We consider her a major asset with incomparable knowledge and resources, for and in the Wilmington area. She made herself available 24/7, genuinely invested in our future- even in the midst of working with other clients during their buying and selling journeys. She is more than an extraordinary realtor, not just in assisting us in buying a house but creating a home! We cannot thank her enough for the time and effort she has put forth in this process. We highly recommend Shannon to anyone who is in the market to buy or sell a home!

Not sure where to begin but let me start with the bottom line up front: Shannon was awesome. Is there something better than awesome? If there is, Shannon was that. In all seriousness, my wife and I were put in a tough position in trying to find a house. We had no knowledge of the Wilmington area and all we knew was what we could discern from the internet and real estate websites. Additionally, we weren’t close to Wilmington, so we couldn’t just hop in the car and do a cursory drive-by if a house seemed interesting. The first weekend we showed up in Wilmington, Shannon had taken our suggestions and turned them into about 40 property visits over the course of two days. She gave us a good lay down of what Wilmington was like, where the good schools were, where good places for kids were (parks, museums, etc.). We couldn’t have asked for and more. I had told Shannon our perfect situation- if one where to arise- would be in Carolina Place. It’s a pretty unique little neighborhood filled with craftsman bungalows that have a lot of character and charm, but we were on a time crunch because I’m in the military using a VA loan and things were getting tight with regards to the logistics and timing of our move. One night while I was away for an exercise, my wife calls me and tells me a place just came on in Carolina Place and it looked like exactly what we wanted: a 3BR/2BA in our price range that wasn’t a complete renovation job. In fact, it had off street parking (a huge bonus in Carolina Place), an entirely upgraded kitchen and the plumbing and wiring had been upgraded as well. I called Shannon that evening and we put in an offer the next morning sight unseen. By the morning, Shannon made sure our offer was the first one in and- of course- we were already dealing with other offers. We had looked at properties so long that it got to the point where I knew the property would not last until we were able to make a trip down to physically see it. Shannon was pretty aggressive in putting in a competitive price and after a few days we had our offer accepted. If you’ve ever dealt with a VA loan, they can be a pain sometimes. Our VA inspector had a few things the seller had to deal with before they’d approve the loan, and the sellers seemed somewhat content on dragging their feet on a few things. Shannon was extremely proactive and tenacious in her approach to getting these repairs completed, one of which included a scrape/sand/paint job of the entire home exterior. Shannon has reasonably priced contacts with regards to any repairs or services, so she was able to lean in on the estimates and provide them to the sellers so the closing process could be done as quickly as possible. She was also simultaneously applying pressure to the VA loan office to get their guy out to re-inspect in order to make sure everything passed muster. Additionally, the day of closing was also the day our household goods were showing up for offload- 9AM that morning- while we weren’t scheduled to close with the attorney until 3PM. Shannon was able to get the sellers to let us in the house to unpack several hours beforehand so our stuff didn’t have to go into storage. This was an immense help. Finally, we had two kids we had to take with us while Shannon showed us about 50-60 homes in total throughout the entire process (we looked at even more homes than that first weekend). Shannon was great with the kids and while they got us off of our game a little bit, they didn’t throw Shannon off of hers. Shannon is great with kids and came armed with a DVD player in her SUV and snacks to tame the kraken that is our six and three-year old. In all, our homebuying process went from about late February to May. There was a lot of trips to Wilmington and a lot of online prospecting for homes and Shannon was there every step of the way. She’s even helped with some things after the closing which truly embodies the “service after the sale” concept. Shannon is a consummate professional and she made the entire home-buying process as minimally stressful as one could make it. She’s honest, up front, and has an innate ability to put you at ease in the emotional rollercoaster that is the home-buying adventure. If you don’t get on the “Shannon is the best realtor in Wilmington” bandwagon, you’ll regret it!!
