It’s hard to imagine a realtor more hardworking, talented, knowledgeable and responsive than Dana Gray. We worked with her as a buying agent, but I suspect that with any clients she meets, Dana goes above and beyond the duties of a realtor. Not only is Dana familiar with every tiny subcomponent of the long and complex processes of buying and selling houses. She’s also extremely knowledgeable about houses themselves – their plumbing, cooling and heating systems, their decoration styles – everything down equipment manufacturers and even the warranties on individual parts of a house like windows and HVAC units. During the tricky process of contingency inspections, Dana is astoundingly helpful, able to give you feedback on things you didn’t even know were important ahead of time. Following our own contingency inspections with Dana, my wife and I felt like we knew exactly what we were purchasing, down to nuts, bolts, and wiring – Dana is just that communicative, meticulous, and thorough. She worked especially well for us because although she’s an extremely hard worker who shows up at the drop of the hat, she’s pretty laid back, too. She’s not going to try and get you to buy anything you don’t want, and she’s very straightforward when there are problems or defects with a property that make it an objectively poor deal for whatever reason. Ultimately, within a meeting or two with Dana, she honestly just began to feel like a friend, rather than some stranger we had to second guess and negotiate with, and that was wonderful. Though my wife and I don’t plan on buying or selling many houses, when we do, Dana will definitely be involved. I personally don’t have a whole lot of patience for bluster and hot air, and so Dana’s high degree of intelligence, directness, efficiency, and simultaneous kindness was just a great fit for our needs. In addition to all the abovementioned positive qualities, she’s been in business long enough to have a terrific network of people she works with – not only typical real estate transaction people like brokers, title agents, and that kind of thing, but also inspectors, subject matter experts and all sorts of contractors for everything you could think of. So if you don’t happen to have lived in the area for thirty years and you want the advice of someone who has, she’s totally good on that stuff, too – she can tell you who to call for any maintenance work or remodeling projects that you need. She helped us buy our dream house by the river in Sacramento, and from end to end, working with her was a fantastic part of starting a new phase in our lives. Thanks Dana!

Do you believe in serendipity? We met Dana while casually visiting open houses. As I imagine many can relate, our family (daughter was about 3 months old) had not fully committed to buying a home. Dana was absolutely excellent to work with and an amazing resource to have in this hot market. She was able to help us strategize and prepare our house to sell quickly to well-qualified and committed buyers. My wife and I had actually met Dana at an open house years earlier and she left such a great impression that when it came time to sell our home, we researched the listing from that time period to contract Dana as our selling agent. At first we weren't even committed to selling and asked Dana for feedback on the home. Within a day she had provided a list of comps and an expected selling price range. Months later when we were ready to sell, she quickly mobilized and helped us strategize timing for a double close, inspections, house repairs, and general clean-up to present the best possible package to buyers in a short time frame.
