Rocky, we need to say a few words about how grateful we are that you were our real estate agent for our recent purchase. With the daunting process of finding our ideal property on Maui, you helped us every step of the way. You were (and still are!) very accessible for our many questions and always found a way to get us the information we needed quickly. The process started on a chance meeting at your office on a late Sunday afternoon. After a two week vacation on Maui, we were making our last round at the mall, lamenting that we were only hours away from leaving on a long flight back to cold and snow. We were forlornly looking at postings outside of your office when you greeted us with a twinkle in your eye and a wide smile. (We knew you had a smile even though you had a mask on!) We were upfront about our plans of not looking for property in Hawai’i for a few years. Regardless, you were very helpful in giving us the lay of the land and the current and potential future Maui market. At that initial meeting, you had no short term gain in speaking with us at all, but we could see that you were passionate about the area and genuinely willing to help us even though we were clear that our time frame was a long ways out from moving on anything. Well, once we got back from our vacation, our situation changed quickly and we found ourselves earnestly in search of a home on Maui. Because of that positive, brief, and friendly encounter with you; you were our first call. From then on, you asked all the right questions and so we knew you were on the lookout for exactly what we had envisioned. You did not waste our time with blanket email blasts and impersonal group correspondences about properties that were not appealing to us. You were always honest with us and never strayed from being truthful. Your instincts were spot on, and were always happy to go the extra mile for us. We put our trust in you and you never let us down. We never felt that we were just another client; you were on our side the whole process and we were put at ease knowing that our interests were always represented, even though we were thousands of miles away. In the end, you found us our dream home on Maui! The whole experience was smooth and straight forward thanks to your thoroughness and perseverance. We could not be happier with you and the result. Raqui is the best! She is professional, easy to work with, readily available, just a good person who we now consider a good friend. We met fortuitously during a morning walk when I was visiting Maui. When I mentioned I always dreamed of retiring there, she offered to show me some listings. She even watched my favorite episode of International House Hunters to see what my dream house would look like! We couldn't make it back to Maui for the final walk through, so Raqui did it for us. I moved to Maui in 1997 to raise my two sons and have spent years learning the rhythms, neighborhoods, and lifestyle that make this island one of the most desirable places in the world.

Before real estate, I spent 35 years in the luxury jewelry industry as a Certified Graduate Gemologist, including seven years with the Gemological Institute of America in New York and 19 years with Tiffany & Co.
